Brett was born in Leicester, England, in 1973 to theatrical parents. Starting at the age of 7, he took up the piano and drums, eventually becoming the percussionist of the Leicester Junior Symphony Orchestra. His piano training took him to grade 8 by the age of 15, enabling him to become the resident pianist at the 4* North Lakes Hotel Penrith, Cumbria. The early stages of Brett’s career also saw him pull on the much coveted jacket as a Butlins Redcoat.
Since then Brett has gone from strength to strength working around the globe in residencies, tours and as a highly sought after solo act on some of the world's most prestigious cruise liners including; Cunard's QE2 and Queen Victoria, P&O, Princess Cruises, Carnival Cruises and Crystal Cruises. He has worked extensively in the UK as a Duelling Pianist for the famous Jumpin' Jaks and also as Musical Director on "The Roy Orbison Story" UK tour and Assistant MD for Danny La Rue's "Hello Dolly". Despite growing international demand Brett's sophisticated style can still occasionally be seen at some of London's most exclusive hotels including, The Ritz- Piccadilly, The Conrad - Chelsea Harbour and the Millennium Hotel - Mayfair, as well as the world famous Smollensky's on The Strand.
